Protective coatings are one of the methods protection from scale deposits during the operation of submersible equipment. The principle of operation- is the use of coatings of the working surfaces of equipment with substances with provide low adhesion to salts due to the low wettability of surfaces with saline aqueous solutions.
From literary sources devoted to the fight against salt deposition, it is known that one of the effective technological methods is to impart hydrophobic properties to the surfaces of products, preventing them from wetting with saline solutions. "REAM-RTI" LLC has developed a method for applying a hydrophobic coating to metal filter elements.
The technology of applying a hydrophobic coating is intended for the treatment of filter elements made of PM materials for their operation in wells complicated by a high content of salts and of asphaltene resin parafin deposits. The coating provides low adhesion of the filter element surface to salts and heavy oil components.
